This area covers many aspects from full restorations of old and sometimes historic memorials, the re-gilding or painting of lettering and even reinstating memorials that have failed the strict new safety testing procedures.
All refurbishment work carried out by us complies with current B.S.8415 standards.
Below are several examples of what can be achieved by our skilled craftsmen.
The restoration of the memorial below in 2010 at Cathays cemetery bears the wording
"This Memorial Was Erected In 1961 In Memory Of All Chinese Who Died In Great Britian"
The memorial was refurbished by ourselves and the green chippings to the centre were replaced with polished black granite slabs in contrast to the white marble.
Before refurbishment After refurbishment
This cornish light grey granite full type memorial was originally erected just after the second world war. The refurbishment has transformed the appearence and guaranteed the memorial will last another 50 years.
White marble discolours and weathers very quickly in our climate. After a professional clean, attention to the lettering and new chippings it can be transformed back to its original appearence.
